Recipe: Cilantro Lime Chicken
1 - 16 ounce jar of your favorite salsa
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon cumin
1 1/2 teaspoons paprika
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons black pepper
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (or to taste)
juice of one fresh lime
3 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
3 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
Place the salsa, spices, lime juice, and cilantro into a slow cooker and stir to combine.
Add the chicken breast, stirring to coat with the salsa mixture. Cover the cooker, set to high and cook
until the chicken is tender, about four hours. If desired you can set the cooker to low and cook for
six to eight hours. Shred chicken and serve.
