After the Storm, There Are Flowers

Click to Listen Button

Come on, Mother Nature. We asked for a cold front to make it feel like fall, not a hurricane to remind us of summer. When November hits, we usually feel like we’re past hurricane season, but today’s storm is a reminder that the season lasts until November 30th. Hopefully everyone fares well. The winds have been going since the middle of the night at our house. As we wake up, hopefully there won’t be the amount of clean-up that there was after Ian.

Abby with Flowers

With a tropical storm in the area, we are going to be closed today. Assuming the storm speeds out of here, we’ll open for normal hours tomorrow (Friday the 11th).

And since I know you want to get out and have some fun in the garden, over the next two weekends, we’ve got some fun make-and-take workshops that we are hosting.

First, this Saturday the 12th at 10am, we still have a few spots left for Fall Flower Arranging. Flower expert Jo will show you how to put together a beautiful bouquet of flowers, and you’ll get to take your creation home with you.

Then on Saturday the 19th, we’re hosting a Book Making Workshop with staff member Claire. Click here to see a video of what you’ll be making. Click the links above or the images below to register for the workshops and get your tickets. We can’t wait to see what you create.

Be safe today and we’ll see you soon in the garden.

Many of us have a hot beverage we love in winter or at the holidays. For Joey’s family, it wasn’t traditional hot cocoa.
