Here’s why you should replace your lawn, or at least part of it, with groundcover.

Groundcovers require way less maintenance. An adequate amount of water and fertilizer are required to keep the best-looking turf grass. But low-growing plants such as the Florida native Sunshine Mimosa, which is just a fascinating plant in general, or Perennial Peanut are both drought-tolerant once established and need minimal fertilizer to keep them happy.

This also means groundcovers are a more environmentally conscious and affordable choice since you’re using less water and fertilizer.

Additionally, most groundcovers flower which means they’re great at attracting various pollinators.

And, honestly, groundcovers aren’t the only alternative. Carve out beds where grass used to grow and fill the space with native, flowering plants for an easy-care pollinator garden. If you have a shady area where grass won’t thrive, try Mondo Grass, tropical plants, or shrubs such as Jasmine or Azaleas.

Anybody can sell you plants, we make sure you succeed.
