We just got a brand-new organic fungicide in stock that we want to tell you about, especially here at the start of veggie season!
It’s called Fungicide 5.
Its active ingredient is Bacillus amyloliquefaciens strain D747. That’s a mouthful, we’ll stick with Fungicide 5!
Fungicide 5 is a broad-spectrum preventative biofungicide and bactericide for controlling and suppressing fungal and plant diseases. Its active ingredient even colonizes plant root hairs, preventing establishment of fungi and bacteria.
It comes as a ready-to-use spray or as a concentrate, and it can be applied as a spray or as a drench. As a spray, only apply enough to just wet all leaves and fruit, and always spray in the evening. Repeat as needed – typically every 7 to 10 days, or if it is very humid (like it almost always is here) you can shorten that interval to 3 to 7 days.
As a drench, mix a teaspoon of the concentrate with 1 gallon of water, then pour enough of the mix to wet the entire root mass.
(Of course, always follow label instructions.)
Fungicide 5 will treat black spot on roses, anthracnose on mangos, and a variety of leaf spots, molds, and mildews on veggie gardens. You can use it right up to the day of harvest. Did we mention it treats houseplants, too?
Fungicide 5 is an OMRI-listed, organic treatment option to add to your arsenal this season.
