Removing Pollen from Easter Lilies

The easter lilies are blooming! Which means it’s time to remove those stamens.

These are the small, stem-like bits in the flower that are covered in pollen. You can easily pluck each one or snip the entire bunch off. Removing them early keeps the bloom looking fresh and can help prolong its life. If pollen does get on the petals, use a pipe cleaner to remove it; a tissue or even your finger will just smudge it and stain the petal. Looks just like new!

Happy spring!
