Another cloudy day here at the Nursery, but we are super excited because Fall Veggie Season is here.
And with it, we are kicking off our fall seminar series this Saturday, Sept. 14th at 10 am with “Organic Veggie Gardening,” so we’re giving you a few reasons why you should choose organic for your veggie gardens.
1. First, organic means you only introduce materials into your garden that already occur in nature. No synthetics is healthier for you and Mother Earth.
2. Organic seeds are harvested from plants that weren’t treated with any chemicals and make your garden organic from the start.
3. Organic plants are grown in organic soil and from organic seeds to keep synthetics out of your garden.
4. Plant seeds and veggies in organic soil. Rich and nutritious, you’ll have sturdier plants, healthier soil, and nutritious veggies.
5. Feed plants with organic fertilizer. With nutrients they can use, they’ll grow big and strong.
6. When you face garden pests, keep your garden and yourself healthy by choosing organic treatments like Neem Max or Fungicide 5.
7. Plant for pollinators. An organic garden allows beneficial insects and pollinators to coexist, so support them in your veggie garden and in your landscaping.
